The Color of Diabetes

I painted the background in acrylics and used paper the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Kids
painted for me on 8x11 pieces of deli paper.  I tore the paper into flowers
and hills to create a garden.  It will be in the JDRF Gala
auction this coming Saturday.

The Faces of Diabetes

I had the JDRF Kids paint self-portraits and incorp-
orated them into my painted background and then
hand-cut blades of grass and made a collage. This
was in the live auction at last year's Dream Gala
for Juvenile Diabetes.

The Tree

"The Tree" Alex and McCall requested a tree painting for their house in Waco. This tree went through many changes in shape and color. After seeing the spot it was intended for, I brightened it quite a bit.
This is mostly watercolor with gold acrylic
over stamped background.

I call this one "Excavating My Church" because it was my
first realistic  painting that I tore into three pieces and
proceeded to "abstract" it with paint and paper.
It went through so many additions.
